General Information Sites Federal Trade Commission advisory Six Signs That Your Scholarship is Sunk Federal Trade Commission advisory Multi-faceted site providing free information on financial aid, test preparation, undergraduate and graduate school programs, and essay preparation. This general education site provides a wealth of information. You can search for specific school programs, financial aid, apply to over 700 colleges and universities online, find test prep material, and take SAT and ACT practice tests online. Gateways to US Government Grants/money "Student gateway to the U.S. Government". Free site provides scholarship and grant opportunities offered by federal governmental agencies. Valuable links to non-governmental scholarships are provided also. Very worthwhile site for high school seniors, undergraduates and those seeking graduate school funding. INROADS seeks high performing African American, Hispanic, and Native American students for internship opportunities with some of the nation's largest companies. provides for the HOPE Scholarship and Lifetime Learning Credits and opens the
doors of college to a new generation, with the largest investment in higher

College Test Preparation
The Preliminary SAT®/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a co-sponsored program by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). The test is usually taken in the 10th or 11th grade. Students must register for the exam through their high school consulor. The registration fee for the test is about $10.The test will allow students to participate in the Student Search Service® to get mail from colleges as well as enter the student in the National Merit Scholarship Program. The BrokeScholar database matches student profiles with more than 900,000 scholarships worth over $3 billion to find the most relevant and obtainable opportunities. Find applicable scholarships, automatically create application letters, view a personalized deadline calendar or locate scholarships using a keyword search feature. Free Search engine.
